Mark Dean was a huge part of the invention of the Personal Computer (PC). The PC changed the way humans interacted with data. He currently has three of IBM's nine PC patents. Also, in total, he holds 20 patents! This includes the color PC monitor and the first gigahertz chip, which is capable of making billions of calculations per second. He revolutionized IBM. Eventually, he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. He was one of the first African American people to ever receive such high honors.
